Yudimy
Disclaimer: this is an on-going project via my involvement with empath worldwide
Situation:
Yudimy, a Nigera-based staffing agency came to empath worldwide for branding and social media support. The project evolved to maybe supporting a soft launch of a new business offering.
When conducting a benchmarking analysis, I noticed that the website had significant usability concerns, inconsistent wireframing, a lack of user-centered content, and limited cultural context. I pitched a potential UX addition to the project scope, which the clients accepted.
This is especially important because Yudimy predominantly offers their services online.
Task:
I began by conducting a preliminary audit of their website to track some concerns, and provide topline recommendations to serve as a UX educational moment. Following that original introduction, I then had to construct questions to better understand the client needs and goals for the website. In tangent, I will need to conduct research to develop a clearer understanding of the cultural zeitgeist of their target user to best develop an engaging platform.
Action:
Currently executing heuristic analysis of website to document wireframe inconsistencies, develop information architecture recommendations, develop microcopy that incorporates socio-cultural context
Developed questions for clients to better understand aspirations, identify the brand voice, and develop clearer understanding of local culture and communication style
Develop method to optimize website for mobile, as local tech literacy shows preference for mobile over desktop
TBC: executing user interviews with previously engaged clients to understand pain points and record positive feedback to fuel updates to digital offering
Result:
Results to be updated following project completion.
