  • Worked alongside a team of 8, under the leadership of Ph.D. mentor to identify the impact of framing on engagement generated by Facebook content produced by Down Syndrome non-profits

  • Used market analysis and literature review to develop 8 research questions and 2 hypotheses

  • Ran data analysis via SPSS of 1200 Facebook posts from 48 organisations; led troubleshooting efforts

  • Developed comprehensive list of client-facing recommendations and prototyped social media content

  • Insights are expected to result in a 50%+ increase in user engagement, & increase positive user feedback

  • Developed ethnographic interview protocol, participant recruitment and execution, distilled data from 10+ interviews into 2 user personas, developed comprehensive guidelines for website development

Social Media and Legislative Agenda Setting (September 2019 – ongoing)

  • Conceptualised project to study the impact of social media campaigns on legislative agenda setting following the #ClosetheCamps campaign that led to the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act of 2019

  • Currently study the impact of the #BlackLivesMatter social media movement on the Justice in Policing Act of 2020 by conducting semi-structured interviews of 50+ Representatives who co-sponsored the bill

  • Project was accepted to Agenda Setting Journal’s 2020 Virtual Conference

Concept Testing for Coupon Generator (May 2020 – July 2020)

  • Utilized motivational design elements to create a browser extension that encourages sustainable behaviour when engaging in online apparel shopping; developed prototype via Adobe XD 

  • Awarded merit-based independent study opportunity to execute UX research for browser extension

  • Drafted remote contextual inquiry protocol, and administerd study with 20+ participants via Zoom

  • Utilized insights from contextual inquiry to incorporate user feedback into product offering

  • Drafted usability test protocol with updated prototype, administered study with participants via Zoom
